Wine Maker's Review:
Enjoy classic Washington state Riesling in this fresh, crisp, and balanced style. Delicious flavors of ripe peach and juicy pear are underscored with racy acidity. Washington--world class and wonderful.
My review:
I wanted to taste this wine after having the Harvest Select and liking it very much. The color of this white wine is a lighter yellow, kinda like a lemonade yellow. On the nose, the wine smelled like pears and maybe a slight citrusy component. On the taste, you definitely taste the pear aspect and the "racy acidity" comes through on the sides of your tongue. Which is not surprising since it is 11.5% alcohol by volume. Its still slightly sweet although not as sweet as the Harvest Select Riesling tasted before. I did not have any food with this wine. Overall its different, but not bad, definitely a Riesling I would go to if I was in the mood for something with a slightly sweet taste. I think I'm really liking the Chateau Ste Michelle wines!
